Hello everyone,
I'm so excited to announce that the music video for my new song "Divine" is out now!
I started brainstorming ideas for this video a few months ago. My mind was pulling me in several different directions. I wanted to do something emotional, but not too dramatic. Something not too simple, but not too complex either (working with a musician's budget).
I perused through a few videos online to find inspiration, until a thought crossed my mind. What better way to tell my story through choreography? I realized that I hadn't seen many videos featuring a romantic dance between two men or between two women. I decided to make that idea the focal point of the video in order to portray the message of Divine.
Two months later, after several phone calls, texts, e-mails, and Google Doc revisions, we shot the music video. A month of editing afterwards brings us to today.
Thank you so much to the dancers (Duncan, Vincent, Tessa, and Sarah) for choreography, and to Mitch Tong for videography. And to Daniel Leon for being the bestest friend ever. I couldn't have done this without any of you guys.
If you like the video, please make sure to like and comment on YouTube! All of your engagement helps to push the video out to more and more people online. A share on social media would be even more greatly appreciated.
To everyone reading this, thank you so much for your support. I feel so inspired at this moment to keep creating the best work that I can for you all.
See you soon,
Rosendale
Rosendale - Divine (Lyrics):
You’ll be my church
And I’ll be your divine
How could I know
Everything that I’ve been looking for baby you got it
You got it
How could I know
All of the answers that they never told me you got it
You got it
Let every pastor speak
Let every preacher preach
Don’t matter what they say
Our love is here to stay
I’m begging at your feet
I’m praying on my knees
You are my only faith
Oh baby come what may
We don’t need to be alone anymore
You be my church
And I’ll be your divine
We don’t need to be alone anymore
You’ll be my church
And I’ll be your divine
I should have known
You were the only thing I ever needed to worship
To worship
Now that I’ve grown
All of the pain and the pleasure you give me is worth it
Is worth it
Let every pastor speak
Let every preacher preach
Don’t matter what they say
Our love is here to stay
I’m begging at your feet
I’m praying on my knees
You are my only faith
Oh baby come what may
We don’t need to be alone anymore
You be my church
And I’ll be your divine
We don’t need to be alone anymore
You’ll be my church
And I’ll be your divine
Let every pastor speak
Let every preacher preach
You’ll be my church
And I’ll be your divine
