What I realized from my breakup is that a relationship is like a journey. Sometimes you end up on the same path as someone, and sometimes you don't.
For someone like me who is always trying to chase the goal at the end of the journey, it was difficult to accept the end of my relationship. Since I didn't reach my goal of getting married and settling down with someone, I couldn't view the relationship as a successful one.
As I was writing the chorus of this song, I realized that there were so many beautiful memories I created with my ex. We shared a huge part of our lives together and saw each other transform from the little 25-year-old kids we were to the 30-year-old adults we became. At least for me, I enjoyed every moment of it and it's the road I would take if I had to do it all over again.
