February is upon us - and that means the wonderful (or dreaded) Valentine's Day is coming up, heh.
Since my breakup a few years ago, I haven't dated anyone. It's been quite lonely sometimes adjusting to single life. So... I decided to write a song about it!
I remember back in 2020, there were several wildfires that caused the sky to be painted bright red. It looked like the end of days, to be honest. At the time, I was living alone and trying both to mend my broken heart and to survive the pandemic. I thought to myself, "if this was truly the end of days, I would be all by myself".
That feeling inspired this song - the feeling of just wanting to be with someone who can support and nurture you through life's challenges. My mom tells me that meeting the right partner in life is often based on luck. Some of us get lucky, and some of us don't. But we can still have hope, right?
I hope this song will give comfort to all of you guys who might be feeling lonely on Valentine's Day!
