I'm sharing these photos with my ex's permission.
To the person I wrote this song for - I was jealous of you for so long. I asked myself all the time what you had that I didn’t, and what you could give him that I couldn’t. This scrapbook is a collection of memories that I had with him, and I would go through the photos to try to see when his smile started fading. I still can’t tell exactly when it happened.
I don’t think I’ll ever be comfortable seeing or speaking to you in person, but thank you for giving him comfort after I left. Your presence helped me to move on with my life, instead of longing for something that I knew deep down was already over.
I hope for many happy days for both you and him together. Please take care of him.
